Adoption Cost and Fees

 

Adoption fees vary and are based on the cost incurred by the adoption agency and birthparent on each adoption.

 

Domestic Adoption

 

The average cost of a domestic adoption processed though our agency is $15,000 plus birthparent expenses. This includes the homestudy.

 

Birthparent Expenses

 

Major factors in determining adoption costs are the birthparent's expenses which might include such items as medical bills, rent, and utilities.

 

Independent Homestudy

 

An independent homestudy fee ranges from $1,800.00 to $2,200.00 depending on program requirements.

 

International Adoption

 

The cost of an international adoption varies from country to country. Adoption costs can range anywhere between $25,000 and $40,000.

 

Interstate Adoption

 

Interstate adoption costs vary from state to state and are in the range of $20,000.00 to $30,000.00.

 

Post Placement Supervision

 

Post Placement Supervision is available whether or not the agency completed the homestudy. Post placement supervisions are $350* per visit.
